Who we are

Berlin Buyers Club was born in March 2023 with three goals:

1. To spread awareness of Long Covid and adjacent diseases in a way that is relatable and accessible to younger people, as well as anyone else who feels drawn to the vibe.

2. To encourage people to get involved in advocating for Long Covid & ME/CFS research, treatments, preventatives, and cures.

3. To offer a safe space for people with Long Covid, ME/CFS, and PSSD and their allies.

If you can relate to any of this, if you'd like to help us spread the message, if you're interested in normalizing discussion about Long Covid and the need for treatments and preventatives, if you want clean air... Then you're a part of the Club too! Welcome.

    Sophie 📍 🇩🇪

    Sophie is BBC’s Creative Director and a nerdy, fashion-obsessed, Greek-Cypriot-Australian who moved to Berlin in 2016. She started Berlin Buyers Club in March 2023. She hopes this work can encourage people to rethink their complacency towards the ongoing pandemic and educate themselves more. She feels motivated to do what she can in this fight for support and treatment, especially for those who are severe and unable to fight for themselves.

    Laura 📍 🇨🇿

    Laura is BBC’s Director of Copy and a Slovak-Canadian actor, writer, and editor who has been sick since contracting SARS-CoV-2 in February 2020 while performing in an off-Broadway play. Long Covid has changed the dimensions of Laura’s life in innumerable ways, forcing her to give up her home in Brooklyn and career in the arts and move in with family in Prague. When not filling her supplements box, she uses her limited energy to spread awareness of Long Covid and ME/CFS and push for accountability in the ongoing pandemic. We refuse to be invisible!

    *Laura is currently taking an an indefinite leave of absence for her health.

    Camille 📍 🇺🇸

    Camille is a Senior Designer for Berlin Buyers Club. She’s more of a “jack of all trades than a master of one” and always has about six different creative projects going on simultaneously. She joined BBC in July 2023 after developing Dysautonomia in late 2021 and Long Covid in late 2022. Her main goal is to spread awareness beyond the online echo chambers in order to educate the general public and, ultimately, influence decision-makers. Design can change the world.
