Berlin Care Survey 2026

We asked our community what care looks like in Berlin. In under 48 hours, 154 people answered, with 1,063 written answers in German and English. This is an emergency signal.
- 92% have no reliable medical care. Not a single person answered yes.
- Most have been ill for more than two years, half of them for more than four.
- Two in three are mostly housebound or bedbound.
- Four in ten still haven’t found anywhere to turn, and three in ten waited more than a year for any help at all.
The biggest barriers: doctors who don’t know about these illnesses, practices that people can’t get into, and symptoms being treated as psychological.
